    Abstract:
    This paper analyses 430 cases of colorectal cancer complicated with schistosomiasis. The 5 year survival rate was 45.6%, lower than that without schistosomiasis. The lowered 5 year survival rate may have been associated with higher percentage of negative immune response in the regional lymph nodes and higher percentage of infiltrating growth pattern of the tumor. The infection of schistosome should be considered as one of the important factors in prognosis.
