Abstract: Cromolyn sodium is a highly effective topical anti-allergenic solution for the treatment of vernal, giant papillary, ragweed, and atopic conjunctivitis. It acts by inhibiting the release of histamine and thereby prevents the inflammatory response by subacute type I hypersensitivity reactions.
