  • Title: Isolation and partial characterization of IgG-like immunoglobulins from frog (Rana ridibunda Pall.) and tortoise (Testudo graeca Pall.) serum.
    Author: Atanassov CL.
Journal: Comp Biochem Physiol B; 1988; 89(4):743-5. PubMed ID: 3132347.
    Abstract:
    1. By successive application of gel-filtration and ion-exchange chromatography IgG fraction have been isolated from frog (Rana ridibunda Pall.) and tortoise (Testudo graeca Pall.) sera. 2. The homogeneity of the fractions has been confirmed and a similar electrophoretic mobility has been revealed by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis and immunoelectrophoresis. 3. In rabbits polyclonal antibodies giving specific reaction with the corresponding IgG immunoglobulin have been raised.
