    细菌性脑膜炎是儿童常见的中枢神经系统感染性疾病，目前国内在其抗菌药物选择、停药指征及糖皮质激素应用等多方面存在争议。为规范本病的诊断、治疗和随访，本共识对细菌性脑膜炎流行病学、病原学、临床表现和实验室检查进行总结和归纳，提出了儿童细菌性脑膜炎的诊断流程。在抗菌药物的选择、用药时机、经验治疗、疗程和停药指征等多个方面进行建议，并根据病情变化调整治疗策略。同时在对症支持治疗、并发症处理和长期随访方面也制定了对策。.
