Abstract: Paresis of cranial nerves III, IV, VI and the ophthalmic nerve is termed fissura-orbitalis-superior syndrome. It is caused by affections of the surrounding bones, vascular lesions in the region of the cavernous sinus, tumours of sella and sphenoid bones and diseases of the orbital cavity.
