Title: Multifocal invasive mucinous carcinoma of the breast. Author: Ferguson MJ. Journal: J Med Radiat Sci; 2020 Jun; 67(2):155-158. PubMed ID: 31975569. Abstract: Mucinous carcinoma accounts for approximately 2% of all breast cancer and is a rare subtype of infiltrating ductal carcinoma. It often presents as a lobulated, well-circumscribed mass on mammography, sonography, and magnetic resonance imaging and can therefore be mistaken for a benign lesion. This case report discusses a rare case of multifocal invasive mucinous carcinoma of the breast detected on screening mammogram. The histological attributes and various imaging findings of mucinous breast cancer are then discussed.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
