Title: Bilateral lacrimal duct cyst. Author: Conway ST. Journal: Ophthalmic Surg; 1988 Nov; 19(11):811-3. PubMed ID: 3222044. Abstract: Reports of lacrimal gland cysts have been rare, and mostly of small, unilateral cysts of the palpebral lobes. An unusual case of bilateral, large acquired cysts of the orbital lobe of the lacrimal glands is presented. Pathologic examination showed chronic inflammation and fibrosis of the lacrimal gland structures. We suggest that prolapse of the lacrimal glands with obstruction of the lacrimal ducts, combined with chronic dacryoadenitis, led to cyst formation.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
