Title: [Cystic adventitial degeneration of the popliteal artery: an unusual cause of intermittent claudication]. Author: Bounameaux H, Schneider PA, Faidutti B. Journal: Schweiz Med Wochenschr; 1988 May 07; 118(18):692-5. PubMed ID: 3291105. Abstract: The case is reported of a 44-year-old patient without cardiovascular risk factors who complained of typical intermittent claudication. Arteriography and echography led to the diagnosis of cystic adventitial disease of the popliteal artery. Percutaneous puncture under CT control was unsuccessful and surgical resection of the cystic formation was performed. This rare etiology is discussed in relation to the differential diagnosis of intermittent claudication, with particular reference to young patients.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
