Title: A study of the occlusal plane orientation in complete denture construction. Author: Karkazis HC, Polyzois GL. Journal: J Oral Rehabil; 1987 Jul; 14(4):399-404. PubMed ID: 3305842. Abstract: A cephalometric study was conducted on eighteen dentulous subjects and fifty-six complete denture wearers to determine the location of the natural and artificial occlusal planes as related to Camper's plane. The results indicated that both the natural and artificial occlusal planes were not parallel to Camper's plane. However, the final anteroposterior inclination of the artificial occlusal plane in complete dentures was almost the same as the inclination of the natural occlusal plane.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
