Abstract: Within the area of psychosomatic and behaviour disorders in childhood, a few problems worthy of clinical investigation in order to investigate the hypothetical role of trophoallergy: colics, hyporexia, and sleep disorders within the first year of life; toddler diarrhoea and irritable bowel syndrome; hyperactivity, learning disabilities, migraine and tension fatigue syndrome in later years. Personal data and literature strongly supporting a causative role of food allergy in a significant percentage of such a kind of cases are presented.
