  • Title: Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV). Clinical features in 34 cases and review of literature.
    Author: Bourgeois PM, Dehaene I.
Journal: Acta Neurol Belg; 1988; 88(2):65-74. PubMed ID: 3389075.
    Abstract:
The clinical features of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo are analysed in 34 patients. These features are detectable by careful examination and are explained by an abnormal stimulation of a posterior semicircular canal of the labyrinth. Cupulolithiasis could be the mechanism which makes this cupula gravity-sensitive.
