Title: [Vocational rehabilitation of psychologically handicapped patients at halfway houses]. Author: Vetter P. Journal: Psychiatr Neurol Med Psychol (Leipz); 1987 Sep; 39(9):541-50. PubMed ID: 3432444. Abstract: In 131 psychically handicapped patients the influence of rehabilitation in housing communes on the working performance is studied. The results are compared to that of a control group. With the average stay of three years in a housing commune the hours worked increase by 22% to reach 78% of the working time granted by comparison to the control group. On the working axis a shift is observed towards comparatively higher demands in a sheltered workshop compared to the demands of occupational therapy only in the sheltered milieu.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
