  • Title: [Intestinal obstruction in children with cystoid formations in the mesentery and omentum].
    Author: Naser MA, Popov AA.
Journal: Vestn Khir Im I I Grek; 1987 Aug; 139(8):84-6. PubMed ID: 3433628.
    Abstract:
The work presents clinical characteristics of 14 children with cystoid formations of the mesenterium and omentum accompanied by the most frequent complication--intestinal obstruction which was observed in 14 children. The main cause of the mesenterial cysts was a torsion of the intestine with the cyst, that of the omentum damage was a compression of the intestinal loops. They should be treated surgically. Lethal outcomes did not follow.
