Title: [Various aspects of the pathogenesis of headaches and their reflexotherapy in patients with hypertension]. Author: Lautsevichus LZ, Budris VB. Journal: Zh Nevropatol Psikhiatr Im S S Korsakova; 1987; 87(11):1663-7. PubMed ID: 3434067. Abstract: The authors have studied the mechanisms of action and the results of the use of ethylcloride block (ECB) in 467 hypertensive patients with headaches before and after ECB. A marked analgetic effect was observed in 93.8% of the patients. A myogenic component of pain in the occipital area was verified electromyographically. It has been established that ECB of the sinocarotid zone significantly decreases both regional and total blood pressure.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
