    Abstract:
    The author reports on 4 women in whom pregnancy was "discovered" only after they had given birth to a child. Apart from individual case reports the possible backgrounds of masked pregnancy are explored. The phenomenon of menstruation-like haemorrhages during pregnancy is also discussed.
