Title: Comparison of the effect of aminoglycosides on excretion of N-acetyl-beta-glucosaminidase. Author: Fujita K, Murayama T, Kawamura M, Narita K. Journal: Int J Clin Pharmacol Res; 1987; 7(6):477-80. PubMed ID: 3440638. Abstract: Urinary N-acetyl-beta-glucosaminidase (NAG) activity was determined in ten patients receiving 200 mg of astromicin and ten patients receiving 100 mg of dibekacin; each dose was administered twice a day for five days. There was a significant difference between the aminoglycosides in the rate at which NAG activity increased, suggesting that astromicin has a lower nephrotoxicity.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
