Title: Outcome Measures in Pediatric Rheumatic Disease. Author: Ringold S, Consolaro A, Ardoin SP. Journal: Rheum Dis Clin North Am; 2021 Nov; 47(4):655-668. PubMed ID: 34635297. Abstract: Reliable and responsive outcome measures that accurately detect changes in disease state, activity, and damage are crucial to conducting observational and interventional trials that can directly transform care for children with rheumatic disease. A combination of consensus-based and direct measurement approaches has led to the development of several validated, composite outcome measures in juvenile idiopathic arthritis, juvenile dermatomyositis, childhood-onset systemic lupus erythematosus, and pediatric vasculitis. This review outlines clinician-reported, disease-specific outcome measures developed for these conditions.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
