Title: Microsurgical anastomosis of vas deferens: an experimental study in the rat. Author: Hampel N, Earle AS, Kursh ED, Persky L. Journal: Invest Urol; 1978 Mar; 15(5):395-6. PubMed ID: 346521. Abstract: A patency rate of more than 90 per cent was achieved after 52 vasovasostomies. Satisfactory results were shown in both internally stented and nonstented anastomoses. A higher incidence of foreign body reaction was associated with silk sutures. Sperm granulomas and reduced patency were noted when superficial sutures were used indicating that a leakproof anastomosis is essential.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
