    Abstract:
    The author presents an analysis of 37 cases of incompetence of sutures of the duodenal stump per 1896 resections of the stomach for ulcer disease, cancer, polyposis and postburn scarry constrictions. For diagnostics of this complication the author proposes to contrast the afferent loop of gastroenteroanastomosis. Relaparotomy for the detection and drainage of the place of incompetence is recommended in cases with incompetence of duodenal stump sutures and appearance of peritonitis.
