  • Title: The use of colloid osmotic pressure in pregnancy.
    Author: Moise KJ, Cotton DB.
Journal: Clin Perinatol; 1986 Dec; 13(4):827-42. PubMed ID: 3539454.
    Abstract:
The intravascular and interstitial colloid osmotic pressure represent two important Starling forces. Pregnancy, betamimetic therapy, preeclampsia, and a variety of other factors can affect these forces. Although controversial, the normalization of colloid osmotic pressure in various disease states may prove beneficial to the patient.
