  • Title: [Reactive changes in the heat resistance of the muscle tissue of lake frogs in response to stress exposure].
    Author: Kesamanly NV.
Journal: Tsitologiia; 1987 Feb; 29(2):230-2. PubMed ID: 3576703.
    Abstract:
A study was made of the effect of stress on the individual changes in the heart resistance of muscles of two populations of Rana ridibunda belonging to European and Asiatic groups within the species. These two groups differ in the average level of the heat resistance of cells. No differences were observed in the patterns of response of the two groups to stress. It is concluded that both the populations are characterized by the same relationship between the initial heat resistance of cells and the value of its change caused by stress.
