  • Title: Dermal duct tumor.
    Author: Aloi FG, Pippione M.
Journal: Appl Pathol; 1986; 4(3):175-8. PubMed ID: 3593585.
    Abstract:
A case of dermal duct tumor (DDT) observed in a 45-year-old male is reported. The lesion was nonspecific clinically. Histological examination revealed dermal tumor masses composed of small, monomorphous basaloid cells arranged around the sweat ducts. There were no atypias and mitotic figures. It is suggested that DDT should be regarded as a distinct eccrine gland tumor that must be differentiated from basal cell carcinoma, hidradenoma, syringoma and above all eccrine poroma.
