Title: Rhodopsin levels in the isolated normal and +rd mouse retina. Author: Low JC. Journal: Ophthalmic Res; 1987; 19(1):49-51. PubMed ID: 3601356. Abstract: The levels of rhodopsin in isolated retinae of two mouse genotypes have been estimated by measuring with a scanning spectrophotometer the apparent absorbance change at 500 nm after photo-bleaching the retinae for 2 min in the presence of hydroxylamine. The optical density due to bleachable rhodopsin was 0.313 +/- 0.015 for the normal ++ and 0.305 +/- 0.016 for the heterozygous +rd retinae (mean +/- SEM). By statistical test these values were not significantly different.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
