Title: [Effect of ultraviolet rays on lipid peroxidation and various factors of its regulation in the rat skin]. Author: Maĭsuradze VN, Platonov AG, Gudz' TI, Goncharenko EN, Kudriashov IuB. Journal: Nauchnye Doki Vyss Shkoly Biol Nauki; 1987; (5):31-5. PubMed ID: 3607105. Abstract: The increase of the content of lipoperoxidation products, the decrease of antiradical activity of lipids and the activities of superoxide dismutase, glutathione peroxidase and glutathione reductase in the skin of rats have been found to be a result of ultraviolet (UV) radiation. The dose and time dependences of changes of these parameters have been obtained. It is suggested that intensification of lipid peroxidation in the skin of UV-radiated animals is correlated with the inhibition of the antiperoxide systems.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
