Title: [Neuronal analysis of the rubro-cerebellar projection in the cat]. Author: Gorodnov VL, Fanardzhian VV. Journal: Neirofiziologiia; 1987; 19(3):420-2. PubMed ID: 3614459. Abstract: Antidromic activation of red nucleus neurons evoked by stimulation of cerebellar nucleus interpositus was studied in nembutalized cats. Neuronal composition of the rubro-cerebellar projection was shown to be determined by two types of red nucleus cells. One is represented by rubro-spinal neurons with axon collaterals projecting to cerebellar nucleus interpositus and affected by synaptic influences from the cerebral cortex and cerebellum. The other component of rubro-cerebellar projection is represented by nonrubro-spinal neurons having no synaptic inputs from the cerebral cortex and cerebellum.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
