    Abstract:
    The effect of nutrients on the formation and accumulation of secondary metabolites in species of the genus Chrysosporium was examined. The study was performed according to the method of Campbell (1960), and among the results obtained was the fact that the only significant increase in antimicrobial capacity was observed when the strains were grown on a 2% malt extract agar and when micro-organisms were assayed using Aspergillus niger.
