  • Title: [Exertion-induced stenocardia syndrome, cardialgia and the treadmill exercise test in the diagnosis of ischemic heart disease in women].
    Author: Lipovetskiĭ BM.
Journal: Ter Arkh; 1986; 58(5):22-4. PubMed ID: 3738786.
    Abstract:
A total of 72 women aged 26 to 62 with suspicion of coronary heart disease were examined. After interviewing the patients with respect to angina of effort by means of a WHO questionnaire they were divided into 2 groups: those with typical angina and those with cardialgia. An analysis of the results of the exercise test and blood lipid values showed significant differences between the groups. In the patients with typical angina of effort exercise tolerance was lower and the frequency of dyslipoproteinemia and ischemic response to exercise testing higher than in the patients with cardialgia.
