  • Title: [Possibilities of echokymography in the evaluation of the left ventricular myocardial contractile function in patients with ischemic heart disease].
    Author: Korytnikov KI.
Journal: Ter Arkh; 1986; 58(5):37-41. PubMed ID: 3738791.
    Abstract:
The authors compared the results of study of myocardial contractility using echokymography with those of one- and two-dimensional echocardiography in 42 CHD patients. A sufficiently high efficacy of the method for the assessment of regional myocardial contractility in patients with akinesia zones and without them was shown. A correlation analysis showed a close association of the wave depth of echokymography with the excursion of the interventricular septum and the posterior wall of the left ventricle. There was no significant association between the wave depth of echokymography and indices of the left ventricular total contractility.
