Abstract: The decline in physical function that occurs with aging affects all systems, especially the cardiovascular and musculoskeletal systems. Exercise may improve cardiovascular fitness, increase bone density, improve flexibility and enhance mental outlook. Exercise of adequate intensity should be performed three to five times per week.
