  • Title: [Postvagotomy reflux gastritis].
    Author: Maĭstrenko NA.
Journal: Vestn Khir Im I I Grek; 1986 Oct; 137(10):13-7. PubMed ID: 3798649.
    Abstract:
The author gives a comparative analysis of gastric alterations of the stomach mucosa after various organ-preserving operations in remote terms (up to 15 years) in 108 patients with duodenal ulcers. Proximal selective vagotomy without drainage and in combination with instrumental pyloric dilatation was shown to reliably prevent an aggravation of antral and fundal gastritis and to decrease risk of the development of gastric carcinoma.
