  • Title: [Catecholamines and the oxygen transport system during the physical loading of patients with a history of myocardial infarct].
Author: Sledzevskaia IK, Chmir VP, Viatchenko-Karpinskaia EV, Il'iash MG, Aktaeva IN.
Journal: Ter Arkh; 1986; 58(12):57-60. PubMed ID: 3824215.
    Abstract:
A study of the time course of hemodynamic and oxygen load and catecholamine content in 74 patients after myocardial infarction showed that cardiac output as a pump was less effective in the persons with a higher load tolerance (over 50 W) in a high concentration of noradrenaline in the blood; a higher oxygen debt was revealed after equal exercise. The data obtained can be important for recommendation of beta-adrenoblockers to patients after myocardial infarction.
