Abstract: The use of volar advancement flaps is presented for volar oblique amputation of fingertips. Use of a mini-volar flap allows closure of a guillotine amputation that leaves no scar on the pad of the fingertip and has only to be elevated to the axis of rotation of the PIP joint.
