Title: [Epiphyseolysis and fractures of the distal epiphysis of the femur in children]. Author: Sysa NF. Journal: Vestn Khir Im I I Grek; 1985 Dec; 135(12):93-8. PubMed ID: 3832569. Abstract: The author has generalized an experience with the treatment of epiphysiolysis and fractures of the distal epiphysis of the femur in 46 children. Detailed characteristics of the lesions are given. Their classification is proposed which is of importance for the selection of curative methods and determination of prognosis. A simple, sparing and nevertheless rather effective method of reposition and immobilization is described. The disturbed growth of the bone and appearance of deformities were shown to depend mainly on the trauma mechanism, age of the victim, features of the fracture plane and displacement of fractures and degree of their adaptation.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
