  • Title: [Gastric adenocarcinoma with choriocarcinomatous component. A case of autopsy with immunohistochemical study].
    Author: Therezo AL, Bacchi CE.
Journal: Arq Gastroenterol; 1985; 22(3):127-30. PubMed ID: 3836620.
    Abstract:
The authors present a rare autopsy case of coexistence of adenocarcinoma and choriocarcinoma in stomach. The tumor was characterized histologically and by the detection of carcinoembryonic antigen and human chorionic gonadotropin in the neoplastic cells by immunoperoxidase technique. The prognosis for gastric adenocarcinoma with choriocarcinomatous elements is exceedingly poor. This patient died three months after the first complain.
