  • Title: [Epileptic seizures as a symptom of arteriovenous angiomas of the brain].
    Author: Gavranovich M, Kon'khodzhich F, Miroevich A, Shlakovich Sh.
Journal: Zh Nevropatol Psikhiatr Im S S Korsakova; 1985; 85(6):874-5. PubMed ID: 3927642.
    Abstract:
Thirteen cases of large cerebral angiomas were followed up for a long time. The authors report on epileptic seizures and point out that epilepsy appears in large malformations, whereas small ones are mostly associated with hemorrhage. The authors describe the clinical picture of every case and the types of epileptic manifestations that are determined by angioma localization. Finally, the therapeutic efficacy of antiepileptics as well as the diagnostic value of the EEG, CT of the brain, and angiography are discussed.
