Title: Perforation of the ileum in Yersinia enterocolitica infection. Author: Moeller DD, Burger WE. Journal: Am J Gastroenterol; 1985 Jan; 80(1):19-20. PubMed ID: 3966448. Abstract: A 69-year-old woman with a 5-wk history of diarrhea and abdominal pain was found to have multiple perforations of the terminal ileum. Blood cultures and cultures of the fistulae and mesenteric lymph nodes were positive for Yersinia enterocolitica infection.
