  • Title: [Fibrogastroduodenoscopy in the evaluation of instrumental pyloric dilatation in proximal selective vagotomy].
    Author: Maistrenko NA.
Journal: Vestn Khir Im I I Grek; 1985 Mar; 134(3):29-31. PubMed ID: 4002517.
    Abstract:
The ulcer disease of the duodenum with the symptoms of compensated and subcompensated stenosis is not considered to be a contraindication for instrumental pylorodilatation and proximal selective vagotomy. Pylorodilatation for correct indications gives a persistent elimination of stenosis under most physiological conditions as compared with those after proximal selective vagotomy with draining operation destructing the pylorus.
