Title: [Characteristics of chronic calculous cholecystitis in young persons and in patients of older age groups]. Author: Krivitskiĭ DI, Gvozdiak NN, Poliakov NG, Nikishenko AA. Journal: Vestn Khir Im I I Grek; 1985 Apr; 134(4):46-9. PubMed ID: 4013015. Abstract: On the basis of observations of 927 patients operated upon for cholelithiasis the authors have established specific features of complicated cholecystitis in young patients. In the surgical treatment of such patients restorative operations are preferred (primary suture of the common bile duct, papillosphincterotomy). Temporary external drainage of bile ducts should be used rarely as well as reconstructive (with a collateral bile flow) interventions. The immediate results of the treatment of calculosis in young patients showed rare postoperative complications (4,8%) and the absence of lethal outcomes.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
