    Abstract:
    It has been established that adaptation of Wistar rats to high-altitude hypoxia led to a reduction of inflammatory lesions occurring in adjuvant arthritis. It has been shown that the mechanisms associated with a decrease in the content of mediators (serotonin, histamine) of the chemical and pathophysiological stages of allergic reactions formation in the adapted animals underlie the protective effect of adaptation. Adaptation to hypoxia appreciably lowered the sensitivity of the sensitized rats to serotonin.
