Title: Active phosphate transport across the urinary bladder of the toad, Bufo marinus. Author: Sellers BB, Hall JA, Both CW, Mendoza SA. Journal: J Membr Biol; 1977 Apr 22; 32(3-4):291-9. PubMed ID: 405496. Abstract: Net transport of inorganic phosphate occurs in the absence of an electrochemical gradient from the mucosal to the serosal bathing solution in the isolated toad urinary bladder. This transport can be inhibited by metabolic inhibitors. The magnitude of this transport can be altered by changes in phosphate concentration or by the addition of parathyroid hormone.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
