Title: [Study of the growth of Streptomyces rimosus cultures during controlled biosynthesis of oxytetracycline using differential sucrose density gradient centrifugation]. Author: Bobyleva RI, Orlova NV, Dmitrieva SV, Zaslavskaia PL. Journal: Antibiot Med Biotekhnol; 1985 Jun; 30(6):414-9. PubMed ID: 4062268. Abstract: The developmental characteristics of the oxytetracycline-producing organism were studied with differential centrifuging over the sucrose density gradient. It was shown that the fermentation broth of Streptomyces rimosus is divided into 7 mycelial fractions and only 2 of them are capable of biosynthesis of oxytetracycline. During controlled biosynthesis of oxytetracycline the mycelium content in these fractions was higher.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
