  • Title: [Properties of individual waves of the somato-sympathetic reflex].
    Author: Rozanov NN.
Journal: Fiziol Zh SSSR Im I M Sechenova; 1985 Oct; 71(10):1192-9. PubMed ID: 4065358.
    Abstract:
In anaesthetized immobilized cats, properties of separate waves of the somato-sympathetic responses were studied in the T3-4 and L2-3 white rami. The wave of early (ER) and the initial wave of late responses (LR-I) revealed obvious features of segment reflexes whereas the main wave of late response (LR-II) revealed features of suprasegment reflexes. In spinal animals only ER and LR-I but no LR-II were found. Both LR-I and ER seem to have an exclusively spinal origin whereas LR-II seems to involve suprasegment neuronal structures. Possible mechanisms of the waves of late somato-sympathetic reflex are discussed.
