Title: [Experience with the application of long-term physical training in the rehabilitation of patients with stenocardia]. Author: Anikin VV. Journal: Ter Arkh; 1985; 57(10):11-4. PubMed ID: 4081984. Abstract: The author presented the results of 2-year physical exercises for 64 patients with stable angina pectoris. Differentiated use of long-term programs of physical rehabilitation taking account of initial indicators of the coronary reserve was shown to lessen the frequency and intensity of attacks of angina pectoris, to raise physical exercise tolerance of the patients, to secure the fulfillment of standard load with less pulse X pressure index values which testified to more economical functioning of the blood circulation system. An important role of the hemodynamic mechanism of decreasing resistance load was demonstrated in reducing the myocardium demand in oxygen and in raising the efficacy of cardiac output achieved with this type of rehabilitation.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
