Title: Clinical and morphological findings in acrylamide toxicity. Author: Le Quesne PM. Journal: Neurotoxicology; 1985; 6(4):17-24. PubMed ID: 4088539. Abstract: Clinical features of acrylamide toxicity consist of sensorimotor peripheral neuropathy. In subacute intoxication ataxia occurs and encephalopathy also in severe acute poisoning. Slight reduction in maximal nerve conduction velocity in animals is due to degeneration of large diameter fibres. Neurofilaments accumulate within axons, both in PNS and CNS. Other changes may be important in initiation of degeneration.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
