Abstract: Four patients with pneumatosis intestinalis involving the unbypassed functioning bowel after jejunoileal bypass for obesity are reported. Previous publications of pneumatosis intestinalis after jejunoileal bypass discussed involvement only of the bypassed defunctionalized bowel. Symptomatology can range from mild to severe.
