Title: C14-proline metabolism in alloxan treated rats. Author: Brown RG, Liddy EP. Journal: Can J Comp Med; 1970 Jul; 34(3):265-8. PubMed ID: 4248447. Abstract: The metabolism of C(14) proline was studied for a brief incorporation period during the early phases of alloxan treatment. The study showed that 150 gm alloxan-diabetic rats excreted a large quantity of prolyl rich peptides in the urine which is indicative of a failure in hydroxylation in the diabetic animals.
