  • Title: Microsurgery III: microtubular repairs.
    Author: Graham JK.
Journal: J La State Med Soc; 1979 Feb; 131(2):53-4. PubMed ID: 438600.
    Abstract:
The increased incidence of divorce and remarriage within modern society has led to increased demand for reversal of previous sexual sterilization procedures. Both vas and tubal ligation procedures can be reversed through microsurgery with a 90% success rate. Microsurgery is also useful in many cases of tubal stenosis where "test tube" babies would otherwise be the only possibility. The microsurgical procedures for reversing both tubal and vas ligation are photographed and described in detail. Physicians are urged to choose ligation sites with the possibility of future reversal in mind.
