    Author: Neĭmark II.
Journal: Vestn Khir Im I I Grek; 1979 Feb; 122(2):20-4. PubMed ID: 442399.
    Abstract:
Data concerning 6 patients who underwent suturing of perforating ulcer and developed an acute stomach perforation postoperatively (4 cases) and acute necrosis of the stomach wall at the site of the suture (2 cases), are analyzed. Besides, the results of experiments on 10 animals are set forth. The author has come to the conclusion that acute thrombophlebitis of the subserous stomach veins constitutes the cause of the above-mentioned complications.
