Title: [The evolution of motricity after a stroke (author's transl)]. Author: Demeurisse G. Journal: Acta Neurol Belg; 1979; 79(1):5-21. PubMed ID: 442981. Abstract: A hundred and one patients undergoing rehabilitation for hemiplegia due to hemispheric cerebrovascular accident were observed for a period of six months after the accident. Detailed records of the analytical and functional aspects of motricity enabled the extent of the deficiencies and the progress of the patients to be evaluated. The results illustrate certain classic neurological concepts and show how much time is required before significant improvements can be obtained. Progress is more satisfactory with right hemiplegics than with left ones.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
