Title: [Clinical experiences with 2 new estro-progestinic combinations, SH 7.1144 and SH 7.1155]. Author: Mezzatesta M, Rainer E. Journal: Riv Ital Ginecol; 1974 Nov; 55(6):471-85. PubMed ID: 4478030. Abstract: 37 women were treated for a total of 303 cycles with 2 new estrogen-progestogen combinations, the main feature of which is a reduction in the content of progestogen (SH 7.1144) and of estrogen and progestogen, (SH 7.1155), respectively. The compounds showed high contraceptive effectiveness, promoted a satisfactory menstrual pattern, and were well tolerated. The effect was easily and promptly reversible. The most interesting aspect consists in the lower hormone content, particularly of estrogen in compound SH 7.1155, which causes a further decrease in the risk of thromboembolism during prolonged treatment.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
